1997年12月30日凌晨2时15分许,青田县鹤城镇新大街侨都歌舞厅七楼发生大火。消防大队于2时50分接到报警后,迅速出动三辆消防车、18名官兵赶赴火场,因舞厅无人值班,加上楼梯门被锁,耽误了救火时机。当消防队员到达七楼火场时,火势已处于猛烈阶段,经过全体官兵2小时的奋力扑救,终于将大火彻底扑灭。 At 2:15 on December 30, 1997, a large fire broke out on the seventh floor of the Overseas Chinese Song and Dance Hall in Xinzheng Street, Hecheng Town, Qingtian County. Fire brigade at 2:50 after receiving the alarm, quickly dispatched three fire engines, 18 officers and soldiers rushed to the scene because of the ballroom unattended, coupled with the stairs door was locked, delayed the fire fighting opportunity. When the firefighters reached the fire floor on the seventh floor, the fire was in a fierce phase. After all the officers and soldiers worked out a two-hour fight, they finally extinguished the fire thoroughly.
