To evaluate the value of computed tomography (CT) in the diagnosis of intracranial tumors, the author analyzed 2,928 cases in clinical centers of five universities. Of these, 2,204 were clinically suspected brain tumors, 351 were metastatic brain tumors, and 373 males were control patients. All patients were followed up for 3 years. Among the 1,071 patients who were diagnosed with brain tumors, 374 patients had undergone CT, contrast-enhanced contrast CT, cerebral angiography, radioisotope brain scan, and skull X-ray.
