汉代《诗》学渊源问题是聚讼千载的公案,素来学界多将之归于荀子,而于孟子的传《诗》之功却鲜有置喙。但是结合最新考古成果、从文化地理角度对影响先秦两汉时期《诗》学发展的地域文化因素详加梳理却会发现:先秦时期至汉代初年,孟子的活动场所与影响所及,主要集中在齐鲁和南楚地区,而这两大区域恰恰是春秋以来《诗》的主要传播地与保存地,共同的地域文化倾向与共同的传承者,不仅为两者在秦汉年间的汇流奠定了坚实基础,也为汉代《诗》学中呈现出的诸多宗孟面貌提供了合理解释。换而言之,从地域文化角度来看,汉代《诗》学导源于孟子的倾向明显。
The origins of the study of “poetry” in Han Dynasty was a serious case of court proceedings. It was always learned that Xunzi was attributed to the scholars and the power of the poem in Mencius was scarce. However, combining with the latest archaeological achievements, we can find out from the perspective of cultural geography that geographical areas and cultural factors that influence the development of “poetry” in the pre-Qin and Han Dynasties are combed, but from the pre-Qin period to the early Han dynasty, Mencius’s activities and influence are mainly concentrated in Qilu and Nanchu areas. These two regions are precisely the main areas of communication and preservation of the “poems” since the Spring and Autumn Period. Their common geographical and cultural tendencies and common inheritors not only lay a solid foundation for the confluence of the two during the Qin and Han Dynasties , But also provided a reasonable explanation for the many scenes of Zong Meng presented in the “Poetry” of the Han Dynasty. In other words, from the perspective of regional culture, the tendency of “poetry” in Han Dynasty originates from Mencius obviously.
