2016年4月26日是苏联切尔诺贝利核事故30周年纪念日。1986年4月26日,位于乌克兰首都基辅以北130千米普里皮亚季镇的切尔诺贝利核电站4号机组反应堆爆炸。这是人类和平利用核能历史上最严重的事故,逾8吨强辐射物质泄漏,6万多平方千米的土地遭到直接污染,320多万人不同程度受核辐射侵害。
April 26, 2016 marks the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear accident in the Soviet Union. On April 26, 1986, Unit 4 reactor at Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Pripyat, 130 km north of Kiev, capital of Ukraine, exploded. This is the most serious accident in the history of the peaceful uses of nuclear energy by mankind. More than 8 tons of strong radioactive material have been leaked. Over 60,000 square kilometers of land have been directly polluted and more than 3.2 million people have been exposed to nuclear radiation to varying degrees.
