学生党员发展作为高校党建的一项重点工作,坚持做到成熟一个,发展一个,党员发展就是以“控制总量、优化结构、提高质量、发挥作用”为首要任务,当然提高党员发展质量是一项困扰党员工作者的难点问题,高等学校肩负着培养新时期青年,国家建设者的历史使命,也是新形势下党员发展的主阵地,在控制总量的要求下,党员发展的人数相比之前要少得多,如何发展优秀大学生入党,做到优中选优,提高党员发展的质量,关系到党组织的新鲜血液是否纯净,关系到建设祖国的未来。所以构建高校党员发展保障体系,做好党员发展工作,是保证党员发展质量的重要环节,作为高校基层党务工作者责无旁贷。
