由中国农科院作物所农业部重点实验室研究员刘秉华主持完成的“矮败小麦创制与高效育种技术新体系建立”研究,日前通过了由农业部组织,以庄巧生、李振声、刘大钧、董玉琛4位院士等专家组成的鉴定委员会的成果鉴定,与会专家一致认为,矮败小麦这个独特遗传资源属世界首创;经过10多年反复探索与实践,利用矮败小麦建立了高效育种技术新体系.该体系创新性强、实用效果好、发展潜力大,整体达到国际领先水平. 矮败小麦是具有矮秆基因标记的太谷核不育小麦.它接受其它品种花粉后,其下一代的矮秆株为雄性不育,非矮秆株为雄性可育,二者极易辨认;且雄性败育彻底,不育性稳定,异交结实率高,是开展轮回选择育种的理想工具.

Besides, male sterility is complete, infertility is stable, and rate of outcrossing is high, which is an ideal tool for carrying out selection and breeding of reincarnation.
