Peter Parker (1808-1888) is a typical representative of Protestant missionaries from China. In 1834, with the approval of the decision committee of the U.S. Department of the United States, he came to China and spent more than 20 years in China. His identity was set by missionaries, doctors and diplomats and he personally experienced and participated in some important historical events in the early Sino-U.S. Relations. On the basis of fully affirming the domestic and foreign academic comments on the study of Peter Burger, I put forward a new perspective on promoting its research.
