In the past, the Angelica extract used to make Angelica tablets was grated in raw Chinese angelica, and its active ingredients were leached with 70% alcohol. After evaporating under reduced pressure to a semi-fluid state, they were removed: or they were mixed with dextrin and starch. Dry at low temperature (70°C), or continue to steam thick (110-120°C), add dextrin and starch, and dry at low temperature. Both of these methods have disadvantages: the former takes too much time to dry (24 hours is required); the latter has too high a drying temperature, which tends to cause oil to escape, reduces the efficacy, carbonizes the sugar, darkens the color, and does not compress the tablet. Sugar coating difficulties. The improved method is to evaporate the leachate to a semi-flow state under reduced pressure, remove it and mix it with 1 part of magnesium oxide, 2 parts each of talcum powder and dextrin.
