建国以来首次全国性的“近代中国城市研究学术讨论会”于1989年11月7日—10日在成都四川大学召开。这次学术讨论会是根据全国哲学社会科学“七五”期间重点课题“近代中国城市史研究”,上海、天津、武汉、重庆四个课题组1988年上海座谈会建议而举行的,由四川大学城市研究中心和《近代重庆城市史》课题组主办。参加会议的有上海、北京、天津、 Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China for the first time, the “Symposium on Modern Chinese Cities Research” was held at Chengdu Sichuan University from November 7 to October 10, 1989.
