《书海》陶壁画为庆贺华南理工大学57周年校庆而创作,这个创作是通过对陶文化的内涵、壁画的表现语言、工艺材料特性和技术手段等的掌握,完成了一个从纸面到墙面的转移性大过程。这不仅是《书海》陶壁画本身的一个发展,同时《书海》陶壁画在图书馆中的应用,也增强了图书馆建筑空间的人文气氛和提升环境美化的精神内涵。
