A resort hotel on the coast of Koh Chang, southeastern Thailand, originally built on the white sand beach along the coast, the new expansive building requires the addition of 79 rooms with facilities such as swimming pool, restaurant, bar and sundeck. The expansion project is located on the corner of a sloping road that cuts the base into a triangle less than 100 meters from the beach, giving the architect immense design challenges. The building is divided into two highly different front and rear sections, both 5 meters in height, making full use of the interior space between the front and back of the building where a 30-meter swimming pool and a 3.5-meter artificial waterfall are designed.
