霍泉是山西著名的岩溶大泉,因发源于霍山而得名,早在一千五百年前,史籍中就有了关于霍泉造福于洪洞、赵城民众的记载。解放后霍泉灌区通过整修渠道,使灌溉面积由解放前的5.05万亩增至10.1万亩充分发挥了霍泉的灌溉效益,特别是改革开放以来,霍泉已成为支撑洪洞经济的重要保证。如何从战略高度提高对泉域水资源保护的认识,增强民众对水资源的保护意识,从而实现水资源可持续利用,保障国民经济的可持续发展,是我们面临的重大课题。
