随着经济全球化进程的加快,国际贸易往来和旅游活动也越来越频繁,因此,商务型和旅游性服务人员的需求量也有了相当大程度的增加。针对人才需求量增加,人才短缺的情况,很多学校都开设了这些方面的课程,主要目的就是培养一批既有英语语言表达能力,又能在贸易和旅游中施展才能的高素质人才。贸易和旅游业的英语课程的设置,就是锻炼学生的语言运用能力和英语交际能力。而项目教学法的目的,就是将英语学习者从课堂中带到实际的工作情景下,让其充分接触环境中所有的人和事。大力推广项目教学法进行教学,增加了学生学习英语的实用性和适用性。本文对项目教学法进行了系统的概述,并结合旅游英语教学的特点,对项目教学法在旅游英语教学中的适用性进行阐述,以此证明项目教学法符合当今旅游英语教学的需要。
As the process of economic globalization accelerates, international trade exchanges and tourism activities are also becoming more and more frequent. As a result, the demand for business-type and tourist service personnel has also risen to a considerable extent. In response to the increasing demand for qualified personnel and the shortage of qualified personnel, many of these schools offer courses in these areas. The main objective is to cultivate a group of highly qualified personnel who have the ability to express themselves in English language and display their talents in trade and tourism. The setting of English courses in trade and tourism is to train students’ ability of language use and English communication. The purpose of the project pedagogy is to bring English learners from the classroom to the actual work scenarios and to have full access to all people and things in the environment. Vigorously promote the project teaching method for teaching, increase the practicality and applicability of students to learn English. This paper systematically summarizes the project pedagogy and combines the characteristics of tourism English teaching to expound the applicability of the project pedagogy in tourism English teaching so as to prove that the project pedagogy meets the needs of today’s tourism English teaching.
