多媒体电脑之所以吸引人,其中一大原因就是它具备处理数字视频的能力。这项功能不但使我们可以通过电脑观看VCD影片,可以玩视频游戏,还可以观赏教育光盘软件中迷人的声光效果。然而并不是每部电脑都能让你享受到这种数字视频的乐趣,因为有时有些影片会无法正常播放。这是由于不同软件厂商在制作多媒体节目时会使用不同的视频压缩方式,当你观看节目时,就得利用相应的驱动程序来解压缩这些
