一个画家的成长和艺术择位,是随着时空诸因素自然天成的。记得1987年酷暑,福建省美协、《福建日报》、福建省电视台联合举办了一次26人参加的闽江航行写生活动,从源头到入海口,历时40天。白天上岸写生,夜间露宿在船,间息或歌或舞,十分艰苦,十分团结,十分活跃。大伙把自己溶汇在美丽、雄浑、辽阔、悠长的闽山闽水间,浪迹江湖,那是一次终身难忘的艺术修炼。玉峰是团长,在活动中展示了他很强的组织能力。之后,虽各自一方,见面时就像兄弟般的亲热。继后,竟有几位油画家和人物画家一跃而成为山水画家了。经历了一次大自然的洗礼,“天人合一”的传统精神,使大伙顿悟进入了大乘。难怪,在中国画史中,山水画是其主流。
