Both Jane Austen and Ding Ling are turning female writers who broke through the tradition of describing women from the perspective of men and created a series of lifelike rebel women’s images with the unique style of women. These women, taking the family as a scene and the theme of marriage and love, have interpreted the scenes of brave opposition to the patriarchal society. Because of their different cultural, historical and family backgrounds, the two writers’ images also show obvious differences in the strength and mode of rebellion against patriarchal society.
