凌力的历史小说继《星星草》之后的作品大都以文化、人文思想作为观照小说的独到视角,强烈地显示了作者对民族文化重建的一种期盼和努力。她一方面着力对民族传统文化进行开掘和反思,吸收其精髓、批判其惰性;另一方面在全球化语境下对西方文化进行重新审视,希望在这种异质文化的参照、比对之下更好地认识和发展本民族的文化。
