In March 2008, he accepted an interview with Margaret Levi, a professor in the Washington Review of Political Science and a Washington University professor. This interview is a high-end dialogue full of vitality and wisdom between the two academicians in the United States. The key topic is Dahl’s core concept, theory construction and the academic controversies arising from the study of democracy, pluralism and power. At the same time, he talks about his life experiences, the methodological interest and the method of modern political analysis and his outstanding achievements And discusses the rational choice of Levi’s particularity. This interview was originally published in the 2009 American Annual Review of Political Science and has been slightly abridged in translation.
