The Indian (Nigerian) horse rivalry is one of the international crises facing the Johnson administration after its founding. Under the influence of the Soviet Union, Britain, Australia and New Zealand (West Zealand) and other U.S. parliamentary policies, the U.S. government sent Robert Kennedy to the Far East for mediation Hoping to push for a cease-fire between Indonesia and the three-party talks between India, Nepal, Malaysia and the Philippines. However, the visit by Kennedy neither changed Britain’s anti-Indian policy nor changed Indonesia’s support for Sukarno. As the United Kingdom seeks to bring about a failure in coordinating diplomacy with the United States and tripartite talks with the United States, the United States has shifted its policy toward India (Niger) and Macedonia.
