The transformation of Chinese oil painting in the 1990s made it a real contemporary oil painting. This “contemporary” manifests itself in two basic aspects: popularization and conceptualization. With all kinds of specific ideas, the oil painter turned his eyes to the common people from the past “heroic image” and “typical figure”, and this concept is often revealed through a joking manner. Through the “close” status of the civilian population, the painter himself expresses the frustration and frustration of the artists. In other words, oil paintings in the 1990s were “civilians ” in theme and form, and were “playful” in the expression of emotion and content.
