计算机存储器结构指的是那些存储数据元和程序执行时有关信息的硬件。它对计算机的使用和程序设计有很大的影响。自从商用电子数字计算机问世以来,存储器硬件在速度、容量、体积大小、价格和可靠性方面已取得很大的进展。在体系组织方面也已有很大的变化。本文从软件的角度评论典型计算机的存储器结构。着重阐述在满足各种类型数据元和数据结构的软件要求方面存储器结构的进展。本文论述存储器结构向高级语言方面发展改进的实质。
Computer memory structures refer to the hardware that stores information about data elements and program execution. It has a huge impact on the computer’s use and programming. Since the advent of commercial electronic digital computers, memory hardware has made great strides in speed, capacity, size, cost and reliability. There have also been great changes in system organization. This article reviews the memory structure of a typical computer from a software perspective. Highlighting the advances in memory architecture in meeting the software requirements for various types of data elements and data structures. This article discusses the nature of memory structures that evolve toward high-level languages.
