公路运输是国民经济的重要环节之一。在我国当前情况下,公路不仅是主要的短距离运输,而且在若干边远地区如康藏、青藏等公路还起着主要于线运输的巨大作用。因此,除了应逐年增加公路建设之外,特别应加强公路养护修理工作,提高现有公路的通过能力,使公路运输能适应我国国民经济发展的要求。
Road transport is one of the important links in the national economy. In our country’s current situation, the road is not only the major short-distance transport, but also plays a major role in the on-line transportation of highways in a number of remote areas such as Kangbang and Qinghai-Tibet. Therefore, in addition to the year-on-year increase in highway construction, the road maintenance and repair work should be strengthened in particular to improve the passage capacity of existing roads so that road transport can meet the requirements of national economic development in our country.
