本文在探讨科学传播从缺失模型到公众参与模型变迁的基础上,阐述了以微博为代表的社交媒体的兴起给科学传播带来的挑战。本文在结合对转基因黄金大米引发的微博争端进行的实证研究与定性分析的基础上认为,微博等社交媒体具有潜力成为公众参与科学的平台,但又不是一个现成的公共领域(public sphere)。科学传播工作者需要正视这种情况,并尽可能充分利用社交媒体带来的条件,顺应科学传播向公众参与科学形态的变迁。
On the basis of discussing the change of science communication from the missing model to the public participation model, this article expounds the challenge to science communication brought by the rise of social media such as Weibo. Based on the empirical research and qualitative analysis of the microblog dispute triggered by GMO rice, this paper argues that social media such as Weibo have the potential to become a platform for public participation in science, but not a ready-made public sphere. . Scientific communication workers need to face up to this situation and make the best use of the conditions brought by social media in order to adapt to the public’s participation in the changes of scientific forms in conformity with scientific communication.
