近代电力工业和电器设备的发展,要求提供强度、硬度、耐磨性高,耐热性及导热性好的高导电性材料。例如:大容量小型电机的发展需要高强、耐热、耐磨及导热、导电性高的整流子片;各种点焊、滚焊机需要高硬度、耐热、导电性好、寿命长的电极材料。 含0.4~1.0%铬的铬铝镁青铜具有高的机械性能和导电、导热性能,再结晶温度较高,因而耐热性较好,能于400℃以下工作,用于制作电机的整流子及电焊机的电极。 江苏清江拖拉机厂自1981年以来生产加重型自行车大杠,用铬铝镁青铜制作碰焊机电极,取得了满意的效果。
