“Love is a fallacy” is both a highlight of the satirical narrative of the American humorist Max Schulman and one of the few outstanding writers who use “unreliable narration.” In this paper, “Love is a Fallacy” is the source of the corpus, trying to analyze how to double-decode the literary works for readers, and make a cognitive-pragmatic analysis of its rhetorical devices to better understand the main thrust of the article and its Metaphorical functions and effects.
