The liquid phase oxidation of ethylbenzene catalyzed by metal phthalocyanine(CoPc, MnPC, FePc) was investigated at an atmospheric pressure of oxygen at 100 ℃. The catalytic activity of CoPc is higher than that of MnPc and FePc. The addition of catalytic amount of K-2Cr-2O-7, MnO-2 or V-2O-5 to the catalytic system can lead to a remarkable increase in the catalytic activity or acetophenone selectivity, compared with those of the metal phthalocyanine and catalytic amount of K-2Cr-2O-7, MnO-2 or V-2O-5 used alone.
