In addition to flooring products, imports account for only a small proportion of total EU consumer carpentry products. Calculated on the basis of imports, the EU has only about 4.5% of doors and timber, and about 0.5% of wooden windows imported from outside the region. In the first nine months of 2013, EU imports of wooden doors totaled 211 million euros, a decrease of 2.9% over the same period of 2012. Imports of wooden doors from China, the largest non-EU supplier, fell 7.2% over the period to 67.8 million euros. Imports from Indonesia, the second largest non-EU supplier, remained stable. Among the other major suppliers, imports from Malaysia increased in the first nine months of 2013, but imports from Brazil and South Africa declined.
