本文首先对当前人类新传染病出现和流行的情势进行了陈述,在此基础上,作者结合自己在流行病学学科教学和科研中的一些体会,较详细地阐述了当前高等医学院校应该如何加强传染病防控的主干学科--流行病学的教学改革和创新,才能有效应对人类新传染病的严峻挑战.作者结合教学科研实际对教学观念、教学内容、方法、手段及教学模式等进行了具体阐述,旨在为应对新传染病挑战中如何搞好流行病学教改和创新提供参考.
