近日我来到北京大山子艺术区(位于原国营798厂),此区域西起酒仙桥路、东至京包铁路,北起酒仙桥北路、南至将台路,面积60多万平方米。如今的798已经引起了国内外媒体和大众的广泛关注,并已成为北京都市文化的新地标。艺术家和文化机构进驻后,大规模地租用和改造空置厂房,逐渐发展成为画廊、艺术中心、艺术家工作室、设计公司、餐饮酒吧等各种空间的聚合地,形成了具有国际化色彩的“SOHO式艺术聚落”和“LOFT生活方式”。
Recently, I came to Beijing Dashanzi Art Zone (located in the former state-owned 798 Factory). This area starts from Jiuxianqiao Road to the west and Beijing-Bao’an Railway to the north. It runs north from Jiuxianqiao Road to the south and takes Taihang Road with an area of more than 600,000 square meters . Today’s 798 has aroused widespread concern of the media and the public at home and abroad and has become a new landmark of Beijing’s urban culture. After the presence of artists and cultural institutions, they have rented and renovated vacant factories on a large scale and gradually developed into an aggregation of various spaces such as galleries, art centers, artists’ studios, design houses, and catering bars, forming an internationalized “ SOHO-style art settlement ”and“ LOFT lifestyle ”.
