Almost from the beginning of his career, Iwai firmly locked perspective on the youth movie. It entrenched Japanese drama in different poses and withstood a fresh Japanese sensation to the Chinese audience. The following year, “Swallowtail Butterfly” attracted much attention due to his performance in Eguchi Yosuke.
