针对近煤层岩巷掘进过程中存在误揭煤层及煤与瓦斯事故,为保证掘进工作面施工安全,提出了近煤层岩巷掘进工作面“两探一预测”的探煤技术,并在宏发煤矿+1 650 m集中运输大巷开展试验研究。研究结果表明:根据探煤钻孔竣工参数拟合得到巷道延伸方向上下部煤层顶板、底板等高线,判断上下部煤层倾角分别为13°~18°和5°~13°;厚度分别为2.76~3.16 m和2.64~3.61 m;与巷道最小法向距离2.94 m和5.23 m,预测与实际最大误差为11.1%。同时在上下部煤层分别采取6个煤样,测定上部煤层瓦斯含量为6.588 1~7.998 1 m~3/t,下部煤层瓦斯含量为5.963 2~7.693 2 m~3/t。
