一直以来,大学英语教学以知识传输和技能培训为主,教师对学生听说能力的要求大多是听后会背、会复述、会模仿等,这势必会限制学生批判性思维的发展。在当前英语教学大班授课的环境下,如何最大幅度地提高学生的批判性思维和表达能力成为重中之重。笔者尝试将英语新闻引入听说教学,采用问、答、师生点评相结合等方法,提高学生批判性思维能力,取得较好效果。
All along, college English teaching mainly focuses on knowledge transfer and skills training. Teachers’ requirements for students’ listening and speaking ability mostly follow after listening, repetition and imitation, which will definitely limit the development of students’ critical thinking. In the current teaching environment of English teaching large class, how to maximize students’ critical thinking and ability to become the most important. I try to introduce English news listening and speaking, using questions, answers, a combination of teachers and students to improve the ability of critical thinking, and achieved good results.
