电影画面的照相本性和电影艺术的形象本性是对立统一的。然而,“电影画面的照相本性”与“电影的照相本性”并不是同一含意。目前在国外电影理论界,关于电影的本性到底是照相性还是形象性这个问题,仍然是争论的焦点,现在也开始波及我国。其它艺术中基本不存在这个问题,至少不如电影领域表现得那样尖锐。艺术要反映现实,但不等于就是现实。列宁曾对费尔巴哈的下列论点表示赞同:“艺术并不要求承认自己就是现实。”这对于各种传统的艺术显然都适用。但是,电影由于其画面的照相基础(观众把电影画面当成真的现实来看待),便不免发生了其本性到底是什么的问题。有
