The Peruvian ethnic groups referred to in this study include third- and fourth-generation indigenous people and those born in Peru after 1980. Due to the influence of time and space, the connection between the natives and their Chinese roots (grandparents or great-grandparents) nearly broke down, but the Chinese heritage was not only inherited from them, but even strengthened. This is mainly due to two factors: First, external factors, that is, the rise of China in the world, are the result of China’s ongoing development and the revival of Chinese discourse. The second is the internal factors that are associated with the evolution of Chinese concepts in Peruvian society related. The combination of internal and external factors reinforces the “indigenous nature” of ethnic Chinese. Among Peruvian Chinese families, the values of China have lasted for more than 160 years and have remained unchanged through time and space and have been consolidated by the tide of Chinese immigrants. Based on memories of families, indigenous young people agree that some of the values they derive from their families that are decisive for their growth stem from their Chinese heritage. Among the concepts of the third generation and the fourth generation of indigenous people, the factors inherited from China are mainly education, money and family values. These Chinese heritage are deeply rooted in the natives, while most of the other Chinese traditions and ties cease to exist. Some of the more obvious features of “native nature” include: being proud of Chinese descent; paying special attention to contemporary China; and taking the initiative to reconstruct the relations between China and the Chinese culture.
