以诗译诗与借形传神是卓振英《楚辞》英译文的特色。译者进行总体审度和合理调适,借用传统英语诗歌的四行诗体、双行偶韵诗体、三行诗体、五行诗体、十行诗体以及半格律半自由诗体等形式,努力再现《楚辞》的意境美,在很大程度上体现了以译入语文化为导向的翻译理念,这在深层次上是因为这种形式借鉴对英语世界读者更具亲和力,它是沟通译入语文化与源语文化的纽带。
