对31例生长激素(GH)缺乏症患儿进行了生长激素释放激素(GHRH)激发试验,发现14例(45.2%)在注射GHRH后15~60分钟GH峰值显著升高(>10ng/ml),峰值范围14.93~42.27ng/ml,平均24.58ng/ml,表明此类患儿系因下丘脑缺乏GHRH所致。身高在均数-3SD以下和具有典型GH缺乏症面容和体态者,GHRH缺乏组均明显少于垂体性GH缺乏组(P均<0.01),提示对一些临床表现不典型的身材矮小患儿应疑及下丘脑性GHRH缺乏。
