海量科学数据正日益成为科学研究的有力工具及知识基础。文章从《第四范式:数据密集型科学发现》一书出发,通过地球与环境科学、生命与健康科学、数字信息基础设施和数字化学术信息交流等方面基于海量数据的科研活动的生动实例,揭示了这种数据密集型科学发现的新范式对科学研究带来的新模式、新方法,最后从科学数据的管理、互操作、数据权益管理、数据素养等方面提出了驾驭第四范式的挑战。
Massive scientific data is increasingly becoming a powerful tool and knowledge base for scientific research. Based on the book “The Fourth Paradigm: Data-intensive Scientific Discovery”, the article reveals vivid examples of scientific research activities based on massive data in such fields as earth and environment science, life and health science, digital information infrastructure and digital academic information exchange This new paradigm of data-intensive scientific discovery brings new models and new methods to scientific research. Finally, it challenges the fourth paradigm in terms of scientific data management, interoperability, data rights management and data literacy.
