混合光纤 /同轴电缆 (HFC)网络由于原CATV接入的广普性和可用传输带宽高达 1GHz,使其成为仅次于光纤到户的数据接入方式。由于HFC网络的一些固有特性 ,决定了数据通信中的特殊要求。IEEE80 2 .14是用于协调HFC网络的前端和用户站点间数据通信的协议 ,具体包括物理层上实现通信的方式和媒体接入控制层 (MAC)上通信规程的协调。深入研究 80 2 .14数据传输的MAC ,对于开发出性能价格比优秀的前端控制器和用户电缆调制解调器都有着巨大的现实意义 ,也成为了尽快有效地实施HFC综合服务网络的关键
Hybrid Fiber / Coax (HFC) Networks As the original CATV access and general availability of transmission bandwidth up to 1GHz, making it second only to FTTH data access.
