森林植物群落和其他客观事物一样,处于发展变化的过程中。今天所看到的具有一定外貌特征的某一群落,不过是群落自然发展过程中的一个片断形象。为了科学经营利用森林、不断发挥森林的直接和间接效益,应掌握一些森林群落的发生(也称“形成”)和发展(也称“演替”)的规律。这部分简要谈一下森林形成的几个阶段和有关演替的基本概念。
Forest plant communities, like other objective things, are in the process of development and change. A certain community with certain appearance features seen today is only a fragment of the natural development of the community. In order to scientifically manage the use of forests and continue to exert the direct and indirect benefits of forests, we should learn some laws governing the occurrence (also called “formation”) and development (also called “succession”) of forest communities. This section briefly discusses several stages of forest formation and the basic concepts of succession.
