建立和实施了基础地质教育阶段“兴趣驱动—实践贯通—强化能力”的教学模式。利用得天独厚的实习基地条件,富有特色的实习教材,科学生动的授课方式,先进现代的地质技术手段激发学生的学习兴趣;改革固定的先理论后实践的教学程式,注重实践教学过程及后续效应,努力实现学生实践训练的常规化、连续性和全程化;贯彻因材施教的思想,搭建形式多样的大学生地质实践活动的平台,逐步培养学生实际动手能力和初步科研能力,改变以往认为高年级才适合做研究的认识。经多年的教学实践验证,该教学模式不失为工科类大学生实践能力培养的一个成功模式。
