2011年是首都博物馆开馆30周年、北京十三陵特区办事处成立30周年,两家携手推出“回望大明——走近万历朝”这一特别展览。展览以万历朝的文物和相关辅助展品,让观众感受万历朝的政治风云、文化艺术与社会万象。由明朝历史的重要节点——万历朝来回望、审视整个明朝的发展脉络,也是对“明亡于万历”这一既有结论的又一次拷问。因此,浏览万历朝48年的历史,不仅是回望明朝,更是在博物馆的叙事方式中感知历史的兴亡和思考兴亡背后的种种因由。首都博物馆与北京十三陵特区共同举办这一特别展览,具有特殊的纪念意义。首都博物馆和十三陵特区分别在北京历史文化和明代帝陵文化
2011 marks the 30th anniversary of the opening of the Capital Museum and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the office of the Special Zone for the Ming Tombs in Beijing. The two jointly launch the special exhibition “Looking Back to the Ming Dynasty - Approaching the Wanli Dynasty.” The exhibition will feature cultural relics from Wanli Dynasty and related supporting exhibits so that the audience can feel the political situation of Wanli Dynasty, culture, arts and society. Looking back and examining the entire Ming Dynasty’s development, Wanli, an important node in the history of the Ming Dynasty, is yet another torture against the established conclusion that “the Ming Dynasty was in Wanli”. Therefore, to view the 48-year history of the Wanli Dynasty not only looks back to the Ming Dynasty but also senses the rise and fall of history and the reasons behind the rise and fall of the past in the narrative mode of the museum.
