在英语教学中,文化背景知识被作为最主要的内容之一。学生在学习、了解文化背景知识的同时,也能培养学生的学习兴趣,还能通过一些户外的实践,锻炼学生的语言和扩展学生的思维。当然,学生的进步是离不开老师的,老师也要通过一些方式来提高自己的教学水平。比如在家看电视或报纸的时候,把上面有关文化的知识进行总结,再把这些总结运用到实际教学实践中,还可以摄取其他国家的文化和我国的文化进行比较式的教学,这样学生就能更深刻的了解不同的文化。文化背景知识对于现在的大学英语教学是至关重要的,只有了解了文化背景知识,才能运用到实际的学习当中,这也是锻炼语言和提高学习兴趣的关键,从而教与学的质量也会大大提高。
