From August 21 to August 23, 2012, the second symposium of Yearbook Professional Committee of China Local Records Association was held in Urumqi. Jabal Abibula, fourth vice chairman of the People’s Government of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and deputy director of the autonomous regional biographical editorial board, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a welcome speech. Tian Jiaji (fourth from right), member of China Local History Guidance Group, party secretary of China Local Records Guidance Group Office and chairman of the Professional Committee of the Yearbook of China Local Records Association attended the meeting and made a speech. Director Li Fuqiang (third from left), secretary general and office director of China Local History Guidance Group and executive vice chairman of the Yearbook Specialist Committee of China Local Records Association attended the meeting. Qiu Xinli, deputy director of the office of the Chinese local gazetteers’ steering committee and vice chairman of the annual workbook of the Chinese local history associations, gave a concluding speech at the closing ceremony.
