杭州光学电子仪器厂试制出HWG10型连续变倍体视显微镜。该仪器成象清晰,鉴别率高,高倍时视场大于日本SZ-Ⅲ型同类产品;重合度高,无目视可见的双象和象倾斜现象;在连续变倍过程中,齐焦性能好。照明采用反射和透射两种装置,其中反射照明采用环形照明,这种照明光亮度好,照度均匀,物镜是由四组(8片)镜片组成的,当其中二组按一定规律改变间距时,可达到连续变倍的目的。该仪器性能相当于日本SZ-Ⅲ型水平,在国内同类产品中具有先进水平。
