矿物包裹体、稀土元素地球化学、碳、氧及锶同位素地球化学研究显示,四川冕宁稀土矿床主要组成部分─—碱性伟晶岩型矿体和碳酸岩型矿体早期的石英、重晶石、萤石及方解石具有岩浆成因的特征,而矿石矿物氟碳钵矿则是典型热液作用的产物。作者认为该矿床是一个与富含挥发份盐熔体有直接成因联系的热液稀土矿床。
