在中国的传统文化中,“方圆之道”被人定义为变通和坚持。本文以“方圆”为切入点,解析了“奇卡诺戏剧之父”瓦尔德兹的戏剧在几十年的发展过程中所进行的改革和坚持。在这个过程中,瓦尔德兹不断根据外部政治环境的变化对奇卡诺戏剧进行革新,以适应新的历史环境的变化。与此同时,他又坚持以奇卡诺整个族群的利益为自己创造的出发点和动力,毫不动摇地以此为目的进行创作,充分体现了他作为奇卡诺戏剧代表人物的洞察力和敏锐性。
In China’s traditional culture, “the radius of the road” is defined as a cohesion and persistence. In this paper, “Fangyuan” as the starting point, the analysis of “Father of ” Waldz ’s plays in the development process of decades of reform and perseverance. In the process, Valdez constantly innovates the Chicano drama according to the changes of the external political environment so as to adapt to the changes of the new historical environment. In the meantime, he insisted on creating a starting point and impetus for himself in the interests of the entire ethnic group of Chicano, unswervingly creating for this purpose, fully demonstrating his insight and acumen as a representative of Chicano’s drama Sex.
