In the first half year of 53 BC, the troops of a Roman legion were defeated by Carlisle and some of them broke through the siege and became the suspension of a thousand years of history. Many Chinese and foreign scholars believe that the defeated Roman army remnants finally arrived in China. In order to settle them, the Western Han Dynasty government set up Liqi County in Yongchang, Gansu Province. Their descendants are still thriving in Yongchang. Other scholars argue that the statement Lihe County built for the Romans can not be established. Li County is not built for the placement of the Roman legacies? Recently, researchers from Lanzhou University collected blood samples from 91 volunteers in Yongchang County to find the answer to this question by using DNA technology.
