随着世界各国工业的发展,各国的城市化在加速进展。1950年,全世界500万人口以上的超级城市才6个,100万人口以上的特大城市71个,而今,超级城市多达25个,100万人口以上的则达207个,预计到本世纪末,仅超级城市将发展到60个,发展中国家的特大城市达300个。目前,以世界上发展最年青的非洲而言,有16个城市的人口已超过100万。据统计,到1983年,全世界已有44%的人口居住在城镇,到本世纪末,世界城市人口比率将接近60%。
With the development of industry in various countries in the world, the urbanization in various countries is accelerating. In 1950, there were 6 super cities with more than 5 million people in the world and 71 mega-cities with more than 1 million population.
