The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently warned that the vast majority of American children daily intake of salt exceeded the recommended standards, which makes them at risk of suffering from high blood pressure and heart disease in the future. According to a health and nutrition survey from 2009 to 2010, 90% of children in the United States have excessive salt intake and their daily average sodium intake is 3.2 grams.
