淬硬齿轮的精加工,采用成熟的磨齿工艺,精度高,已为国内外广泛采用。但对于大量的中大模数、精度在7级(JB179-83)左右的低速重载淬硬齿轮,则显得工耗多,周期长,成本高,且需大量磨齿机,与目前国情不符。因此,摸索出在现有设备条件和不增加投资的情况下,即能加工出符合JB179-83标准7级精度淬硬齿轮的新工艺就显得十分迫切。上海起重运输机械厂在这方面做了有益的工作。他们研制出的膨化弹性齿轮形珩轮对刮削后的淬硬齿轮进行珩削,能提高齿面质量,特别是对齿形、齿向精度的提高有明显效果。这对当前解决中大模数淬硬齿轮的精化问题,有现实意义,值得推广。
